Join a Ranger for an early morning walk into the Northern Corries to hopefully see and hear this specialised montane species. Places are limited -so book early! The walk starts at the Ranger Base - meeting at 5am - come prepared with waterproofs, sturdy walking boots. Don't forget your binoculars & hot flask/early morning breakfast snack.

All walks listed will take place in mountainous terrain, exploring the immediate area of the Cairngorms. It is recommended that participants have a reasonable level of fitness and can complete a fairly energetic walk. You must bring a comfortable pair of hill walking boots and suitable waterproof jacket and overtrousers. It is also best to have a spare warm layer – conditions can (and do!) change very quickly.
