Taking the visual arts into a sensitive mountain environment is something that is not only very imaginative but also has to be handled with great delicacy. Over the next few weeks, local people across Badenoch and Strathspey are being invited to view some of the possible designs that might enhance the visual quality of the Car Park area at Coire Cas as well as within the Base Station through a travelling exhibition that will show case some of the proposals of two of the invited artists - Arthur Watson from the North-East and Winifred Lutz from the USA.
The exhibition, and related storytelling and dance workshops, will be in The Iona Gallery, Kingussie from 7th to 10th April, Carrbridge Village Hall from 14th to 17th and Grantown Community Centre from 21st to 24th. Well worth having a look at some imaginative and quite non-intrusive concepts.
