Following our annual pre-winter maintenance, CairnGorm Mountain will reopen to visitors from Tuesday 2nd December.
The success of last year’s Christmas activities at CairnGorm, including Santa’s Grotto within The Ptarmigan, will see them repeated again this year with Santa Claus arriving at his mountain grotto – by the funicular railway, of course – on Saturday, 6th December. Santa Claus will be in residence at CairnGorm Mountain on Saturday and Sunday each weekend with extended appearances on Monday, 22nd through to Christmas Eve (24th). The cost is £6.50 per child (£2.50 for under 5's) and this includes return travel on the funicular, a visit to Santa’s grotto and a present from Santa.
During these three weekends, the Shop @ The Top will also be featuring Christmas promotions involving chocolates (6th/7th), preserves (13th/14th) and fudge & ‘Whoopsies’ (20th/21st) with sampling opportunities and glüwein available to add to the CairnGorm Christmas Cheer.
The Ptarmigan Restaurant will be offering a special Christmas lunch package from Monday to Friday, starting on 8th December. At only £19.50, guests will travel to the Top Station where they will have time to view the exhibition before going up to the restaurant for a 3-course lunch via the ‘Shop at the Top’. The shop will have a tempting selection of Christmas gifts, goodies and novelties for all the family as well as an excellent range of interesting stocking fillers. As guests arrive in the restaurant they will be met and taken to their table. The 3-course menu with coffee will be a mixture of traditional seasonal fare and Scottish dishes all using a range of ingredients from some of the best local suppliers. Wine will be available from our specially selected wine list (not included in the package price) as well as a range of Malt whisky’s and other drinks from our fully licensed bar. Please call Customer Services on 01479 861261 to book.
Depending on weather conditions, CairnGorm Mountain will officially open for snowsports on 20th December. Please keep an eye on our website (www.cairngormmountain.com) or telephone 01479 861261 for further information and updates.
