Grass Science is a UK based independent agronomy and environmental consultancy, which offers a complete design, ecology and environmental restoration service throughout the UK and Europe.
One of our current major projects is the CairnGorm funicular railway where we are the nominated consultants for the re-instatement and long term protection of local vegetation, soil materials and other related aspects following completion of the project.
The environmental work relating to construction of the funicular railway tunnel to the Ptarmigan centre is just one example of a broad scope of involvement in this project.
Grass Science works in close co-operation with Scottish National Heritage, The Highland Council and Highland and Highlands Enterprise to protect the environment for future generations.
Ecology is an important area, which is being affected by increased recreation and essential construction projects such as pipeline excavations. We recognize the ecology status and the contributory environmental factors, which form part of these projects.
As a result, we provide our clients, such as Transco, S & H, English Nature and Government Bodies, an investigation, specification and project management service to ensure that in the long term no environmental and ecology damage occurs.
